About FLIGHT
Development
Public Data Sets
- FLIGHT contains data from Flybase,
UniGene,
Entrez gene,
EnsEMBL,
RefSeq,
HGNC (Genew),
SGD,
MGI,
WormBase,
UniProt,
InterPro,
GO,
OMIM,
PDB,
Inparanoid and
Homologene
along with data curated from literature.
- Drosophila protein-protein interaction datasets were taken from Formstecher et al. Genome Research (2005) 15:376-84,
Stanyon et al. Genome Biology (2004) 5:R96,
Giot et al. Science (2003) 302:1727-36, along with genetic interactions from Flybase.
- Yeast protein-protein interaction datasets were taken from Gavin et al. Nature (2002) 415:141-7,
Ho et al. Nature (2002) 415:180-3,
Ito et al. PNAS (2001) 98:4569-74 and
Uetz et al. Nature (2000) 403:623-7.
- We will update existing datasets and add new public datasets as they become available. Any suggestions of datasets that could be included are welcome.
Contributors
- Affymetrix microarray data was provided by the
Morphogenesis group
at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research (UCL Branch) and
FlyCHIP in Cambridge.
As part of an ongoing collaboration with Deborah Cottam and Martin Milner we plan to expand this
expression analysis to include many more Drosophila cell lines.
- Cell line data was curated by Gavin Craig.
- Many of the cell lines detailed in the database were aquired from Lucy Cherbas at the DGRC.
- dsRNA primer sequences from the Ambion library were designed by
Cenix for
Ambion.
- dsRNA primer sequences from the UCSF / Open Biosystems library were designed by
Nico Stuurman and the library was developed as a collaboration between Edan Foley, Steve Rogers, Nico Stuurman,
Ben Eaton, Pat O'Farrell, Graeme Davis and Ron Vale at UCSF, using a grant from the Sandler family.
The UCSF library is distributed by
Open Biosystems.
Contributing Data Sets
- We would happily collaborate with other groups wishing make FLIGHT a home for related datasets and tools.
Contact Buzz Baum or David Sims with any enquiries.
